Walk to the Moon

We invite our partner schools to take on Edukid’s biggest challenge yet.

‘Walk to the Moon’ is a fundraising event that can be done remotely, as a whole school or in bubbles. It focuses on health and well-being, exercise and boosting morale, whilst raising money for children living in poverty. We recommend using our resources alongside this event so that student have an in depth understanding of what their fundraising is achieving.

Our partner schools are helping us to ‘Walk to the Moon’, in which we take on the challenge of walking the equivalent distance of miles from the Earth to the Moon (approximately 238,900). The idea is that each student in your schools looks to walk a mile a day for a whole term and finds sponsors to support their challenge in order to raise money for the children you support abroad through Edukid. At the end of the year, Edukid will add up each schools ‘mileage’.

Children all over the UK will be taking on the challenge to raise money for children living in poverty. Through ‘Walk to the Moon’, we are showing students that this seemingly impossible task can be made achievable by working together as one big community.
